Impromtu Camping Trip to Taneum Creek

It started off like a whirlwind. Packing up camping gear for a quick overnighter to Taneum Creek.

It was a clear cool evening in the woods. The sky was as starry as ever. And beautiful!
Our little girl, who is learning to count, tried counting the stars. SO cute!

I cant tell you how much I enjoyed being out in the fresh air away from all the craziness of our daily lives.

We took some nice pics of Taneum Creek the next day. It got pretty blown out last winter with all the flooding that occurred in the area. There are still road closures within the Green dot trail system in the area. And parts of the road in are only one lane now due to road wash-outs.   :(
Our little girl was brave enough to cross a little deep part in the creek. She loved the trip!
We could not keep her out of the dirt and water...pretty messy.
We loved the trip as well. It was good to just sit and chat with my best friend.
I was glad to be brought back down to a more relaxed state of mind.

I took a pic of one of our cats when we got back home....He apparently had a good time in our absence as well. LOL So funny.

Kittitas County is one of the most incredible places I know of. This will be the start of my guide to Kittitas County and beyond. I will take pics of the towns, trails, festivals, and the overall things to do in and around the County. I tell the stories that make up the history, current happenings and just plain fun things to do!

Our next story will feature a camping trip along Taenum Creek. Located just outside of Cle Elum. It is a beautiful area that allows for many different recreational activities. Jeeping, snowmobiling, dirt biking, hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, mountain biking, mushroom picking, and horseback riding. I am sure I probably forgot a few activities....sorry...there is just so many!
